Sophie Dourlens-Quaranta

With a PhD in Mathematics (University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, 2004) and an advanced master in Energy System Optimisation (Mines ParisTech, 2005), Sophie started her career in the energy sector at the French Energy Regulator (CRE) where she specialized in electricity and gas cross-border market designs. In 2012, she joined the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nice Côte d’Azur to structure the local energy cluster. In 2013, she joined DOWEL MANAGEMENT (former TECHNOFI) to lead energy-related projects and to develop the company business. There, she managed FP7, IEE, H2020 and CEF projects or proposals’ writing. In 2018, Sophie joined R2M Solution in order to lead research and innovation projects and to develop and manage the French Branch of the group.
Main area of activity in R2M:
Sophie is involved in different EU-funded projects in the energy sector: she is leading business modelling and exploitation activities in MAKING-CITY, and she is involved in NESOI, EENVEST and WEDISTRICT. She is also involved in consulting activities in Europe and sales of innovative products in France.
