Laura Pérez Caballero
Innovation Division – Sustainable Energy and EU Research
Laura has +5 years of experience in EU Project Management and Innovation Consulting. She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering and Environmental Engineering, obtained from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid (Spain) in 2017. She carried out her BSc thesis in collaboration with the H2020 SUN-to-LIQUID project at the IMDEA Energy Institute. Laura also holds a double Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Systems from the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT InnoEnergy), performed at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (Sweden), and at the TU/e Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands), with a specialisation in ‘Innovation Sciences’, thus combining both technical knowledge and business-oriented thematics. She carried out her MSc Thesis in collaboration with the H2020 MUSE GRIDS project and the BRIDGE Initiative. During 2017-2018, Laura worked as a Project Engineer at a French environmental consultancy, gaining experience on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) as well as on proposal writing and execution of EU projects. Laura has been part of R2M’s team since 2020, preparing project proposals for different EU R&I programs (H2020, Horizon Europe, LIFE) as well as EU & national tenders, and performing Exploitation, Market Analysis, Business Modelling, Replication Planning, Data Management and Dissemination tasks in numerous EU-funded projects, such as HARP, Heat-to-Fuel, HESTIA, REGEN-BY-2, FLOW and DE-RISK.
Main area of activity in R2M:
Laura is part of the Innovation Area at R2M Solution Spain. She provides innovation consultancy services (e.g., proposal writing, training, etc.) to different types of organisations, and also performs exploitation-related tasks in EU-funded projects on a variety of topics (e.g., sustainable energy, smart grids, renewable energy communities, urban mobility, digitalisation, social innovation, etc.). Since 2023, Laura coordinates and oversees the EU Projects Area, working closely and supporting the EU Project Managers in order to ensure the correct execution, management and reporting of all the EU-funded projects’ activities.
