NEBULA

New European Bauhaus activated thanks to the local actions promoted by Built4People

Within Horizon Europe, the Built4People partnership (B4P) aims, among other objectives, to connect to a set of national or regional Innovation Clusters in view of maximizing innovation impacts. The NEBULA projects will build upon this B4P and the New European Bauhaus initiative to activate and nurture a network of B4P Innovation Clusters, by implementing: – Improved visibility, adoption and uptake of innovative solutions that are in line with the New European Bauhaus thanks to increased awareness on benefits from innovation and better access to co-financing – Intensified, cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary peer-learning from front runners as well as cross-border cooperation and networking, – preparation for the long-lasting activities of the network of B4P Innovation Clusters and the integration of the next clusters. This project will therefore accompany a first batch of existing and emerging clusters to increase their maturity along five dimensions: full value-chain coverage; cross-sectoral integration; combined local and national/EU networking; cross border connections; and access to testbeds and demo spaces such as pilot buildings and living labs. NEBULA will support these clusters through ‘maturity push’ activities including peer learning on New European Bauhaus concepts, support to open innovation, business & finance help desk, match-making and promotional events. A minimum of 5-7 clusters will be supported by NEBULA, some already identified being part of the consortium. At least 1 of them will reach full maturity on the 5 dimensions listed above, thus becoming a B4P Front runner, model for replication. NEBULA consortium, that involves two contractual partners of the B4P partnership, will elaborate a Strategic Replication Plan to reach the contractual target of 10-15 B4P Innovation Clusters by 2028.

NEBULA will support the promotion and co-financing of innovation following the NEB principles and circularity across the value chain to help innovations reach their market via: (a) access to Metabuilding platform, (b) identification of innovations from EU funded projects with a high market potential and setting up a financial help-desk. Moreover it organises dedicated peer-learning activities to enable the supported innovation clusters, but also additional stakeholders and experts, to learn from each other on the concepts and good practices related to the New European Bauhaus and B4P topics. In NEBULA, communication, cooperation and capacity-building activities are provided through the first network of “B4P-endorsed” Innovation Clusters through: (a) promotion of benefits from technological and non-technological (social, cultural) innovation on Metabuilding platform, (b) awareness-raising on the NEB and circularity principles thanks to the vade-mecum and ‘Inspiring stories’, (c) coaching of clusters to reach a cross-border dimension and therefore promote cross-border cooperation and (d) cross-border networking within the B4PIC network. This project raises awareness on the NEB, sustainability and circularity principles through the developed vade-mecum developed and through peer-learning activities organised. It also identifies the innovations from EU funded projects with a high market potential to improve their visibility and support their adoption, and further promotes them through the Metabuilding platform.

R2M is involved in this project on several diversified activities which include (a) cooperation with NEB and Knowledge sharing on the NEB platform, (b) identification of innovations with high market potential, (c) analysis of fundraising opportunities and (d) coordinated participations to key events & industrial fora. In addition to these tasks, R2M will be participating in the tasks of: (a) identification and engagement of NEB ambassadors, (b) organisation of peer-learning activities, (c) setting-up and activation of the first front-runner B4PIC: Aquitaine-Euskadi and (d) setting-up a financial help desk.
