Measuring Envelope products and systems contributing to next generation of healthy nearly Zero Energy Buildings

MEZeroE is an EU-wide open innovation ecosystem developing near-zero energy building envelope solutions focused on carbon neutrality and healthy indoor environments. It offers a digital marketplace to accelerate testing, monitoring, and upscaling of smart, bio-based building technologies.
The project provides turnkey services—including pilot lines, training, and business support—to help SMEs and larger companies bring innovations from validation to market, promoting collaboration and standardization in construction.
By improving access to testing infrastructure and expertise, MEZeroE drives faster innovation and adoption of energy-efficient envelopes, supporting greener buildings and a sustainable construction industry.

The building envelope is key to energy efficiency, improving thermal comfort, reducing energy use, and extending building life. However, SMEs and larger companies struggle to access the infrastructure and expertise needed to develop and scale advanced envelope technologies.
